Chrome devices (Chromebooks and Chromeboxes) download updates in the background while they are in use. However, there are times where you will want to manually update them if they haven't been used in a while.
- On your Computer or Chromebook, open Chrome.
- At the top right, click More
.
- Click Help
About Google Chrome.
The current version number is the series of numbers beneath the "Google Chrome" heading. Chrome will check for updates when you're on this page. Updates usually take 5-10 minutes.
Once any available updates have downloaded, click Restart.
